The Project “Capacity Building for the Ratification and Implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing in Viet Nam” (hereinafter referred to as “the ABS Project”) is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), will be implemented from 2016 to 2019. The project’s goal is to contribute the conservation and sustainable use of globally significance biodiversity in Vietnam through strengthening national capacities in the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and Benefit Sharing, ensuring fair and reasonable sharing of the benefits of genetic resources by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
